I recently saw an ad for this type of app. I couldn't have put the description any better, so Thanks to the original poster for this excellent description:


I need an iPhone app template for a "ebook" type of app, created in Xcode.
Would like most of the project created with Interface Builder - Please only apply if you have experience using Interface Builder and have created iPhone apps before.

The app template will consist of:
- Opening "splash screen" on launch for 3 seconds, using a 320x480 graphic that I will provide

- UITableView for book chapter listings screen

- The 'Page Turning' should be taps on the left / right sides of the screen. (Possibly with page turn graphic?)

- There should be a menu button (or tab), that allows for the following functions.

1) - Chapters item that links to Chapters listing screen
2) - Add Bookmark" item that allows user to bookmark specific book pages (or sections, if easier)
3) - Bookmarks item that links to screen with user's stored bookmarks
4) - Info item that will link to an "Information" screen (which is just a 320x480 image that I provide) with back button to return to previous screen

- "Pages" screen which will display each page (with text) of the book, within a chapter. A background image will be used as "paper", I will provide the image.

- Code for app must be created with iPhone SDK 3.0

  The ability to include images, animation, or audio would be great, and should be discussed as an additional feature **

 

And that's all... it's a fairly simple app which should take an experienced programmer only a few days to complete.

    * This app will be a *template* for me to put my own content into - you will NOT be creating a finished, complete app.

 
VERY important: 
I am familiar with using Xcode/InterfaceBuilder enough to edit and modify code that has been written. It is VERY *important* that I am able to add/remove "chapters" and "pages" at later time, because I do not know the exact length of the book yet. Please keep that in mind when coding for this app. It needs to be VERY EASY to add/remove text based chapters and pages as needed!
