I have a small job I need done, and I thought I would reach out to eLance to see if anyone was interested. I have a Fedora server which needs to be properly configured so PHP can interact with Java, and I also require the ZXing Java library be compiled for use.

The requirements are as follows for both the configuration of a development server and a production server. It is unknown if both will be the same Linux distro or not since the hosting has not yet been acquired for the production server.

1. Install and configure JDK
2. Install and configure JRE (if needed in addition to JDK)
3. Compile PHP with Java support (current version is a yummed version)
4. Modify php.ini with java specific configuration
5. Compile the Java ZXing library for use from its source distribution

At the conclusion, we would simply test a sample script to make sure the Java capabilities of PHP are working and that the ZXing library is operational and compiled correctly.

In order to do your work effectively, you should have an ip address which does not change to frequently. Contractor will be IP white listed and also be given a 509 cert which will be used to authenticate with.

Based on comments from other candidates, the requirements would also be to install and configure Apache's Ant Tool which I am told is a requirement of ZXing as well.
