Hi,

A brief description: Transfer all databases and files from our previous server to our new server. Then do any updates to our sites to allow communication from site to databases + Setting up our dedicated server.

What we require for this job is...

1. We require the successful applicant to transfer databases from our original server (sql dumps will be provided) to our new server.

We have 2 servers at the moment one for testing and one for production. These servers each have there own installation of mysql with mirrored databases eg the same users and tables. As we are migrating to 1 server and one mysql install these databases will need to be setup so they can both run on the single install of mysql.


2. We require the successful applicant to transfer all files and folders to our new server (zip will be provided)

We will need the successful applicant to setup both a testing and production area on the server to allow for DNS hookups from our domains and test domains.

Then the corresponding files and folders provided for testing and production will need to be added to the correct areas created.

3. We will then require the successful applicant to update (on both testing and production) any files that communicate with the databases, the connections are already in place in the existing files so can be easily found but these will need to be checked and altered if needs be.

Documentation on db connections required eg Connection criteria for php/mysql for each database must be provided.
