I am looking for someone to develop a website which has similar functionality to Yelp in that it is designed to combine elements of social networking with local business listings.

As a brief overview, functionality should include the following:
- Ability to list businesses for reviews/ratings in respective
locations/business categories
- Business users can create/modify their business listing
- Business listings will contain Google Maps integration
- Business users can opt for premium listings
- Business listings are searchable based on location/business name
- Users will be shown respective businesses based on their location
- Users can rate/comment about a business as well as interact with other
users
- Users are required to register themselves. The user profile page will
display a summary of their site activities.
- User's can 'favorite' a business listing. Favorites listing will be
displayed and can be shared.
- Users can add other users as friends, can subscribe to other users as well
as send them compliments
- Users can accrue points for receiving compliments or sharing articles
- Integration into facebook - Users will be able to login and share articles
to their facebook page
- Forum - required to be seamlessly integrated into the main site so that a
separate login/profile is not required
- Blogging - required to be seamlessly integrated into the main site so that
a separate login/profile is not required

Yelp is the best example of what I am trying to achieve in terms of
functionality and it should be a very robust, high quality and stable
platform to handle thousands of users at once. All elements should be
easily administered from the CMS. A more in depth specifications document
will be given to the contractor to better explain each and every aspect.

I would prefer this site to be built in Drupal as I understand it is a
flexible and robust platform which already has modules available that
perform some of the functionality necessary. Please do not bid on this
project if you do not understand Drupal completely and are not confident
with applying heavy customization to modules. I am open to suggestion if
you would prefer to use another platform like Joomla for example if you can
give me a good reason.

The design of the site will not be necessary as I will be providing the
layout and all necessary images. However I will require slicing of the
design provided as well as implementation.

Communication during the development of the project is also extremely
important as I will be providing feedback throughout the process so we can
achieve the best results.

I am looking for a competent, experienced php developer/company who can
deliver premium results and can communicate thoroughly with me each step of
the way. If you have a portfolio of sites with similar functionality,
please send them to me so I can get a better insight into your capabilities

The expected completion time for this project is 2-3 months.

The following elements are required by the winning contractor for this
project prior to starting:
- Sign an NDA provided by me
- Provide a standard contract which gives me 100% ownership of the code
- The contract must also state that you will not showcase this project in
any online or offline medium
- The contract must also state that you will not compete with me or conduct
similar work for our competitors.
