I have a program that will produce Sony XD-CAM HD 1080I video files in native Sony XDCAM format (MP4). I want to create a plugin that will convert these files to a QT format that can play in iMovie on a MAC computer. I assume this will be a Quicktime wrapper.

The plugin/interface must be simple to use:


1)you open iMovie on a MAC and you can open the XDCAM file in iMovie and proceed to edit the XDCAM file on the local computer


2) The plugin will automatically process the file and make it playable in the MAC iMovie program. The client will need to be able to edit/save the edited file in iMovie.

I can supply an XD-CAM file for testing purposes.

If an existing video encoder program such as Imagemagick is to be used in the program, it must be available for full licence for resale and use as my client will include the converter with their product.

This will be a plugin to iMovie or Quicktime. Simple to install. I am assuming that this will be written in C#, C++ or QT, or a similar program language that works in a MAC environment.
