We need a clone of the English Wikipedia built as soon as possible from the XML dump. Development environment would be our Linux server running MediaWiki and MySQL. Note, we have remote desktop software running on the server. Also note that a XML dump has already been loaded into a MediaWiki MySQL DB via MWDumper. Also we have installed some, but maybe not all, of the optional plugins for MediaWiki needed for a clone of Wikipedia.

We are trying to build the clone ourselves but are experiencing some rendering issues, and performance issues, but time is of the essence. Therefore we're looking to contract out the job to someone who deep experience with MediaWiki and who has build a successful Wikipedia clone.

The requirements for the clone are:

A. Must not present to end users any write or edit capabilities.
B. Links to "Admin"/"Uitility" categories must not be shown on a page. For example the link to the category (say named) "Pages for Deletion" would not be shown under a page's Categories section, but the link (say named) "Asian Countries" would be.
C. "Admin"/"Editorial" messages on a pages must not be shown. For example, don't show message on a page that say something like "This article appear to express opinion than fact...".
D. "Img" tag must have their "src" property set so that images are fetched from Wikipedia, but have their "height" and "width" properties set from information from the mediawiki source (for the "width" property) and from the Images DB table (to derive the "height" property). (Aside note, this will serve as a means to lazy load our image repositiory so then later don't need to fetch from Wikipedia.)
E. Non-cached pages must not render slowly.
F. All MediaWiki markup should render properly.
F. Completion date is by Th 5/20/2010, unless do to fault or slowness on our end.
