I am in need of some help launching a new website. It will be a portal for a local music community. I have a some experience with web design and coldfusion programming so I prefer the site be coldfusion based. I do not have the time to create the site but I will handle maintaining it once it launches. I have a limited budget so I do not care if you use any pre-made code or applications that already exist as longas it is easily customizable and the web design is original.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the project including page design, programming, and creating the database to run everything. I would like this project to be tested and completed within one month. I will supply ftp access to the server that the site will be hosted on and you will have access to build the site on the live server, no testing server will be needed.

I need the following functionality and pages:

Users can register as a Fan, Band, or Venue. Fans will be able to to use the message boards and post comments on bands pages. Bands will be able to upload and post music photos, and videos. They will also have a band page simular to a bands page on MySpace. They will also have the ability to post shows on the events calendar. Venues will also have a page that will list the venues hours as well as driving directions and upcoming shows/events. They will have the ability to posts events on teh calendar and post photos.

The homepage will be used to highlight upcomgin events and the events calendar. There will be a spot for "Todays Shows" which will list all shows going on that day. You will be able to click on a day on the canendar to see other days. It will also contain a news section. The site admin(myself) will have the ability to post news on the homepage. There will also be a spot for a featured upcoming event as well as a spot for a featured band. I will have admin control to choose what event form the event calendar is featured as well as what band is featured.

There will also need to be a general message board with normal message board features.

A page the lists all bands in alphabetical order with a link to their band page.

There will be a "Lists" page that will list the top bands by total plays as well as the top songs by play. This will be organized by genre.

Classified section where users can post instruments for sale, post want ads for instruments, post wanted ads for musicians and band members.

A contact page with contact info and contact form mailer.

An Admin section where I can manage all aspects of the site including bands, venues, message board, news, events..etc as well as a way to mass email all members.

I am sure I am leaving out tons of details but please refer to other simular sites for more detailsos swhat needs to be done. I can be as involved in the process of the design and programming as you want but would prefer someone who can take ownership of this and get ti done quickly and well.

I think it goes without saying that I am looking for reliable code and a quality product. I will continue to hire you for ongoing projects with the site as it develops. The second project that will come shortly after this project will be implementing an e-commrce store to purchase music and apparel.

I am flexible on payment options but will not make any payments until a good portion of the site is done or at least the design. I need you to assume I will ask for multiple revisions on the design until I am satisfied.
