I need a desktop solution, a program with easy user interface that will check youtube links whether they are valid or not.
An Invalid youtube link will open Youtube (you won't get any 404 error etc), but you won't be able to see the video.
This will be the procedure:
1. The program will use an excel file that the user will tell it's location ("open file" button).
2. The excel file will have these rows:
Row A - a list of youtube links (usually a a very long one about 10,000 entries).
Row B - Status of the links - the application should fill this row with:
option 1 - "Active" - The link is sending to a working video.
option 2 - "Not Active" - The links send to youtube but there is a message telling the video is no longer available, the video was removed, etc... (there are many error messages)
Row C - Z - Other rows that that the application should ignore and leave untouched.
3. The program will create a new excel, the same as the original except ROW B.
On "Google Codes" there is information that might be useful - http://code.google.com/apis/youtube/overview.html
I have lists with 10,000 rows each, so the software should be very stable.
