Using javascript/cookie technology, provide the functionality that will track the time spent by customers on a web page.  The interface will include customizable alerts that will appear at configurable times alerting the customer of how long they have been on the page.  This feature will only track active time and disregard inactive time.  For instance, if there has been no activity for a pre-determined and configurable amount of time, this time will discarded and not tracked.  Inactivity is defined as no clicks or scrolling on the page.

For example, if a customer is reading a long news story on a web page, we want to remind them of how long they have been on the page reading the news article.  However, we do not want the reminder to appear if they are not actively reading the article.  This will be determined by noticing the lack of clicks on the page or if they have scrolled on the page.  The frequency and content of the alerts will need to be configurable.

This functionality should work on a simple web page.  You can create on or if you wish, one can be provided.
