We have a job application website for our tutoring business that was built using Ruby on Rails. The website is here: http://www.tutorjobs.net . 

At present, the website works like this:
Applicants visit the website. On the first page, they select their city. Then they fill click through 2-3 screens where they fill out different questions about their work experience, education, etc. Finally, the applicant checks off boxes that indicate the geographic areas where they are available to work and the academic subjects that they are able to tutor. (taskcity providers who are interested in this job should fill out an application with fictional information in order to see how the application works).

Managers are then able to login to the website and search the applications that have been submitted in two ways. We have a keyword search that searches all the text in every application, and we can check boxes for geographic location and academic subject to find candidates who checked off the same boxes on their application.

We would like to make a few changes to the website, including:
1) We want to put the whole application on one page so that people who want to fill out an application can see the whole application on one screen.
2) At present, job applicants are not able to come back later and edit their applications. We want to change this. We want applicants to enter an email address and password when they fill out an application the first time, and we want the website to store this information so that when people come back later, they can enter their email and password to access and edit their old application.
3) We want to add advanced search capabilities for managers. We want managers to be able to enter keywords for specific sections of the application (not just for the entire application). For example, we want the manager to be able to search a keyword for the education section of the application and another keyword for the work experience section of the application at the same time. We also want to be able to combine this kind of keyword searching with searching via checking boxes. 

For someone who understands rails, this should not be too difficult. We have a rails expert on staff who will be available to answer questions and supervise the project. 

Our budget for this project is limited, so we are willing to consider giving a relatively-new taskcity provider a chance to do this project if you have a solid amount of rails development in your non-taskcity work history.

We have an ongoing need for a rails developer for a few of our websites, so this project will definitely lead to other projects if the work is performed to our satisfaction.
