We have an IE BHO (Browser Helper Object) and we want some features added to it. Project is coded using Win32 C++. The current files of the C++ project will be sent to the chosen developer. The BHO currently include:



- An installer (NSIS)

- A downloader which can download file locally or remotely through a custom mechanism

- Alert window which are similar to notification window in Firefox add-on

- A bookmarks importer (that can be sent to our remote server using custom AJAX call)

- A preferences system to keep configuration of the application

- A mechanism into the C++ project to update the JavaScript in the DLL when in dev mode



Now, we want to add a sidebar to this BHO. The sidebar must be a custom one (not an Explorer bar), as it will have to be displayed on the right side of the browser and not have a title bar. The BHO must also only appear once in the Manage add-ons window of Internet Explorer. The content of the sidebar would be an Iframe with server side downloaded HTML content (right click disabled). That HTML content need to interact with the page loaded beside the sidebar using custom JavaScript function (must be able to get HTML of the document). Sidebar must also include open/close/resize functions and include event handler as resize.



We also need a sync bookmarks feature for which would send event to our JavaScript (added bookmark/modified bookmark/deleted bookmark) where we will be able to do AJAX call to update our server, but this will have to be discussed with the developer.



Developer must test his/her final product using:

- Windows 98+

- Internet Explorer 6+



And must be familiar with:

- NSIS

- Win32 C++

- BHO development

- Windows environment



Developer has to be fine with working in tight deadline and must want to do more work for us in the future (on that same BHO).



Developer must also be available by email and by any instant messaging system (MSN, ICQ, Skype, etc.).
