Project scope is the development of a simple plugin for FF and IE. After installation, each page that the user surfs on, will includes a JS file from our server (so hardcoded URL to the js file, e.g. test.de/test.js).



With this js we can e.g. change the Link color of links from blue to green or also set all advertisement visability to hidden.



1. Install process is silent

2. Write a unique User ID into the registry after installation

3. redirect to a specific URL after installation (Thank you URL) and write that into the DB, see (5)

4. redirect to a specific URL after deinstallation and write that into the DB, see (5)

5. Insert the information into our MySQL DB each time the user loads any page. Please write these fields into DB:

UniqueUserID | timestamp | UrlSurfedTo



The Plugin MUST work with

Firefox 3.x

Internet Explorer 6.x 7.x 8.x

Safari if possible.



Do not use .net framework or other huge stuff, as many PC do not have that installed as from what we know.



Please only bid on this project if you are 100% sure you can meet the hard deadline and if you have done plugins in XUL / C++ or similar before. It is a quick project if you know what to do, but can get very heavy if your team has no knowledge in toolbars/plugins.
