We need someone whow has a good experience with Flash Streaming Server to help us set up a videoconference module for our phone system.



Below is an overview of the tasks.  For confidentiality reason We will only send the complete requirements to coders who show a real experience with Flash Server.  If you are interested in the details, just reply and we will send you the exact requirements, then you can bid.



This system will enable our clients to add 2-way live visual support to a phone conversation.



You part of the work only involves Flash server and building some sort of API that would enable us to control the video feed.  You will not have to deal with the phone system itself, as we will take care of this using the API you will provide us with.



Overview



What we need from you is:



a) Recommend us which solution is the best between a) owning and hosting our own Flash server in a colocation and b) Using a Flash hosting/streaming provider.



b) Install and configure Flash Server



c) Build an API / Webservice that would enable us to



- Start and kill a live video feed

- Match a pair of users using a 5-digit code (e.g. both users get assigned with a code.  They must go on a web page and both enter the code.  System must check if both users webcams are working, then connect them together with the live feed.

- A few other functions e.g. sample clip recording etc.



- The system needs to handle multiple video feeds simultaneously

- System must enable users to connect easily, without any third party install (other than Flash, of course, and providing that their hardware is configured correctly and can support it)

- If and when technically feasible, the sysem should allow the best visual quality possible under circumstances.



This is only part 1 of this project.  We look for medium / long term partner as we do not want to switch coders once we start.
