What I need or require: Conveting an already developed program for use
as an iphone app
What I already have versus what the provider will deliver: The
software in both Mac and PC form
I am looking to create what is basically what was commonly referred to
as a "black box" that was designed to be installed into vehicles to
monitor your teens driving habits and exploit the 3gs
gps/accelerometer to track their driving habits using the iphone to
track and possible auto dial the parent. Based on the assumption they
are both using iphones. Also possibly combining the abilty to see
their currant location. I think that basically, all the pieces are out
their, it would just be stiching them together for a specific
task.Parent buys the app that has admin rights on his phone to set the
alert parameters and installs a driver/notification app onto the slave
phone. basically looking for excess acceleration/speeds/braking and
erratic driving( swerving ). I would look to you to develop, keeping
the interface simple and in-line with the iphone standard scrolls and
buttons.It will give you a feel for my and my design preferences. I would like

As far as the notification parameters go, I was looking at them for acceleration, braking, side-to side(swerving) and speed along with the duration (time) of parameters exceeded and location at time of incident.
I was hoping that the G forces and speed can be set by the administrator( both English or metric) via a scroll wheel.
Are you asking what the base and ceiling limits will be?
Do we need to have a calibration protocol built in or is the iphone accelerometer self calibrating?
G forces:
Acceleration 0.1-1.0
Braking 0.5 -1.3
Cornering 0.5 - 2.5
Speed 35 - 75 mph

I envision the parent using the app with the driver at setting the alert parameters in the vehicle as part of the initial setup as all vehicles are differentas to weight and response.
