描述

Test and Wi-Fi calibration setup
1. BILL OF TEST BENCH MATERIALS
The list of necessary material is the following:
- A Windows XP PC with enough available data connections to measurement devices and one serial port for communication with DUT. This PC will run the calibration and test program.
- A regulated power supply with an UART, USB or GPIB interface and providing the following voltages : 3.3V 1A
- A Test Fixture meeting the requirements described below in chapter 2.2.
- An RF Power meter with an UART, USB or GPIB interface. (Example : Agilent E4416A)
- An RF Power sensor (Example : Agilent E9323A)
- An RF Frequency Counter with an UART, USB or GPIB interface. (Example : Agilent 53131A or 53132A)
- A 2:1 RF cable splitter
- A sticker printer (for printing stickers with MAC addresses and serial numbers)

OR
A bar code scanner (if the stickers are already printed).
- All required cables (RF, USB, Serial)
- The DUT.
2. TEXT FIXTURE REQUIREMENT
A test fixture shall be designed in order to host the DUT during production testing. Connection to Mozart II board test pins shall be available for the following signals:
- Power input
- Data bus : USB, UART, ETHERNET
- RF antenna connector using appropriate Murata MM8430-2610 matching probe.
- GPIOS with level testing for output and level forcing for inputs
- NOTE: as this SoW only concerns a “digital” variant of the modules, the LINE/HP/FM lines are not connected and don’t require any testing.

3. TEST PROGRAM REQUIREMENT
A specific program must be developed and executed on the test PC. This tool will manage the Wi-Fi calibration process, the MAC address attribution, the board functional testing and finally the sticker printing or MAC address scanning if stickers are already printed.
The test program shall be able to perform and write a log file for the following tasks:
- Send commands through RS232 connection to DUT in order to enter it into test mode and run test commands. DUT UART settings are 57600/N/8/1.
- Measure the DUT power consumption on main 3.3V rail at board start by communicating with the Power Supply. Any value superior to a fixed criteria shall make the test fail and the DUT considered as defective.
- Write the DUT Ethernet MAC address by sending the command: “mac_write eth 00:1B:A0:XX:XX:XX”.

Note : Write Ethernet MAC is mandatory for device software even if there is no Ethernet port on device. Ethernet MAC address equals Wi-Fi MAC address minus one.
- Print the DUT sticker with serial number and Wi-Fi MAC addresses.

OR
Scan the already printed sticker to get the MAC address.
Note: Make sure that the printed sticker meets the requirement described in chapter 4.
- Measure the DUT GPIOS ability to switch logic levels. This is performed in two steps :
1- Setting logic low level on DUT GPIOS then sending “test_gpi” command through RS232. Any Command return value different from the fixed criteria shall make the test fail and the DUT considered as defective.
2- Setting logic High level on DUT GPIOS then sending “test_gpi” command through RS232. Any command return value different from the fixed criteria shall make the test fail and the DUT considered as defective.
- Calibrate DUT RF part frequency offset by doing following process :
1- Send calibration tool initialization command : “/opt/awox/bin/mII_wifiCalibration start”
2- Start frequency testing by sending the command : “/opt/awox/bin/mII_wifiCalibration freq start”
3- Set an offset value on RF frequency by sending the following command : “opt/awox/bin/mII_wifiCalibration freq set <offset>”
4- Measure the RF center frequency by communicating with the frequency counter equipment
5- Iterate steps 3 and 4 until the measured frequency matches exactly the Wi-Fi channel 1 frequency (2412 Mhz).
6- Save the determined offset into DUT memory by sending the command : “/opt/awox/bin/mII_wifiCalibration freq save <offset>”
7- Terminate the test by sending the command : “/opt/awox/bin/mII_wifiCalibration freq stop”
- Calibrate the DUT RF part power doing the following process :

1- Start power testing on the desired channel by sending the command : “/opt/awox/bin/mII_wifiCalibration power start <channel>”

2- Adjust the power value for the desired channel by sending the command :
““/opt/awox/bin/mII_wifiCalibration power set <level>”
3- Measure the power value by communicating with the frequency counter.

4- Iterate steps 2 and 3 until the measured power value is the closest possible to 16dBm.

5- Save the determined power level into DUT memory by sending the command :

“/opt/awox/bin/mII_wifiCalibration power save <channel> <level>”
6- Iterate steps from 2 to 5 until power settings for all channels from 1 to 14 are correctly set.

7- Terminate the test by sending the command : “/opt/awox/bin/mII_wifiCalibration power stop”

8- Write the DUT Wi-Fi MAC address by sending the command : “/opt/awox/bin/mII_wifiCalibration mac_write auto”

The test setup shall be mounted in the following way:
