描述

Are you a marketing ninja? Do you spend your free time scheming up brilliant ways of attracting new clients? Does your resume list “Evil Genius” directly under “Marketing Professional”?

If any of the above describe you, chances are you’re what we’ve been looking for.
SuToRoot LLC, a small Linux systems support startup based out of Iowa, is interested in taking on one marketing pro on a commission only basis.

Please read further to find out what we’re looking for and if you fit the bill.

What we’re looking for:

We’ve broken up the qualifications we have for an amazing, desirable, considerable, and no-go candidate. We completely understand how unlikely it would be to have all of the qualities of any one imaginary candidate, and we encourage anyone considering his or herself a mix-match of the top three to apply. Please, if you see yourself as the no-go candidate do not apply.

To reiterate - No-Go candidates, please don’t even send a reply, we aren’t interested.

The Amazing Candidate -

You...
Are an individual, not a company or someone representing a company.
Live in or near (ie. surrounding states ) to Iowa.
Have been in the Internet marketing and affiliate game for 5+ years.
Have done, or are interested in doing, some offline marketing.
Have done some marking for a service based company ( not selling a product )
Are a self-starter.
Have always wanted to work with a startup, and possible have experience doing so.
Either have English as your first language, or speak it flawlessly.
Work well with massive amounts of freedom and no management harassing you.
Have absolutely ZERO history of spam, or other blackhat marketing techniques.
Are a Linux user/enthusiast, and would be able to passionately market our services.
Are absolutely not a procrastinator in any way shape or form.
Do marketing for a living and not as a hobby.
Have access to clientele in the server/hosting industry, or web properties in either.
Like to have a good laugh, and are an overall pleasant person.
Have tons of great ideas you’re looking to try, and are dreaming up more by the second.
Are totally committed to a project once it’s begun and never leave a client hanging.
Are interested in possibly running a larger affiliate program on your own down the road.

The Desirable Candidate -

You...
Are an individual, not a company or someone representing a company.
Live in the Midwest, and if not, you live in the US.
Have been doing Internet/affiliate marketing for 2+ years
Find the concept of offline marketing intriguing although you’ve never done it.
Are a self-starter
Are interested in working with a startup.
Speak English very well.
Work well with massive amounts of freedom and no management harassing you.
Have absolutely ZERO history of spam, or other blackhat marketing techniques.
Have used Linux a couple of times and at the very least thought it looked neat.
Are at least a part time marketer.
Have access to clientele in the server/hosting industry, or have good ideas how to get access.
Like to have a good laugh, and are an overall pleasant person.
Have the occasional brilliant idea and continually search for the next.
Are totally committed to a project once it’s begun and never leave a client hanging.

Are an individual, but you work for a marketing firm.
Live somewhere with Internet access.
Have been involved in Internet/affiliate marketing for at least a year.
Have never considered offline marketing, but after reading the ad you want to give it a try.
Are not repulsed by the idea of working for a small startup.

Have no interest in ever running an affiliate program on your own.
Don’t market for a living, but do it from the time you get home to the time you go to bed.
Don’t hate Linux.
Are a reformed spammer, or someone who came from the blackhat world to the whitehat.
Sometimes have amazing ideas, but normally stick with what’s always worked.

The No-Go Cadidate -
You...
Are just representing some large marketing firm and would like us to sign on as a client.
Have never done internet/affiliate marketing but are willing to try anything for a buck.
Think the offline world is lame and would never sully your hands with brick and mortar.
Hate startups and want to work somewhere with suits and a steady paycheck.
Need a manager to tell you what to do, and only work under explicit instructions.
Have never even thought about the hosting/server industry.
Hate jokes and goofing around.
Normally just stop caring about a project after a few weeks since it gets boring.
Despise Linux and think it’s a dying fad.
Are a spammer/blackhat, and plan to get our company in massive amounts of legal trouble.
Steal other ideas from the net, and give up if they don’t work right away.

What we bring to the table -

Great Compensation -
For the first 15 clients you bring to us we will offer a 10% commission on that sale for the first year the client is with us. Meaning if you sign a customer to a recurring service, you’re going to get 10% of that monthly bill each month for the first year. After the initial 15 sales and we’ve built up a relationship of trust, the commission will immediately go up to 20%, and then 25%. Commissions WILL be based on the volume of clients you’re bringing in, and we intend to reward you very quickly as you prove yourself to us.

An environment where you are the expert and a valued team member -
We aren’t marketers, we’re engineers and businessmen, we expect you to know what you’re talking about. We want every single suggestion you have no matter how crazy, let us know!

We aren’t from the bay! -
We’re from Iowa, the Midwest. We aren’t built on shaky VC money and we aren’t going to disappear because some investors check is late.

Total Freedom -
You’re the boss. You will be in charge of all decisions marketing, and our chief advisor on all matters involving it. If something on the site needs to change before we can land more clients, tell us. If we need to change all of the text in our client emails to bright pink, let us know. We’re receptive to any and all recommendations you make.

If this ad has sounded attractive to you in any way, please shoot us a reply stating what type of candidate role you think fits you best and why. All interesting applicants will be asked to do a phone interview ( nothing formal ) for a few minutes, to hit on some basic points mentioned in the ad.

Thanks for your time.
