I have a requirement for a managed code (VC++) app that displays a custom splash screen whilst a managed C# app is loading in the background. This project will run on Windows.

Your design should include a method for closing the splash once the C# app has loaded.

The end result should be very similar to that of www.quicksplash.net, except that I do not want to specify settings in a config file (which may then be changed by users!). Nor do I want the splash screen to be shown on the Taskbar.

The end result should be capable of running in a multi-user environment, so if a file is used to determine when the dotnet framework & C# app have loaded, a GUID-based filename strategy may have to be employed in your design.

Deliverables:
Design (to be agreed with me prior to implementation)
VC++ solution (Visual Studio).
C# dummy application (used for testing).
Detailed notes on how it was done.
Instructions for use.
